Tournament Format

 

The format for this tournament is in volleyball terms "old school volleyball."  The means that there is traditional sideout scoring (no rally scoring) where you only get a point only when you serve the ball. If a serve hits the net, it is a side-out and the other team gets to serve.  If the ball hits the yellow line or inside of the yellow line, the ball is considered in and the serve goes to the opposite team of where the ball dropped.

 

The number of games played will depend on the number of teams entered.  There will be pool play where teams will be divided into pools and play each team in that pool.  Then continue on to the single elimination tournament.  All teams will move on to the single elimination tournament  To be out, you must lose two games.  The volunteers will determine whether the tournament will be single or double elimination once all of the teams have registered.
